How do I pledge my Birthday?
Fill out the form with your name, email and birthday and share the word about your pledge. We send you a reminder the month before your birthday and will provide you with all of the tools you need to set up your fundraising page, share your page, and start raising money for families living in poverty.
Do I need to raise a certain amount?
Nope! You can decide the amount that is right for you. Every donation makes an impact and we appreciate your support!
How do I set up my Birthday fundraising campaign?
After you pledge you will get an email with a link to create your own fundraising page for PCI. Most of the content about PCI is pre-loaded and ready for your personalization. We’ve also created toolkits and provided graphics and banners for you to use for your social media pages and email. If you need assistance at any time in the process of setting up your fundraising page, please contact Corey DiTommasso, Development Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 858-279-9690 x346.
Can people contribute to my fundraising page with offline gifts (i.e. cash, checks)?
Yes! As long as they include a note that it is a gift in your honor, we can attribute it to your campaign and have it show up on your page.
How will the money from my Birthday fundraiser be spent?
All gifts made to PCI from birthday fundraisers support the entire PCI mission to prevent disease, improve community health, and promote sustainable development worldwide, and go to where the need is the greatest. If you would like to discuss this further with someone at PCI, please contact Corey DiTommasso, Development Coordinator, at email@example.com or 858-279-9690 x346.
How will my donors be thanked?
All donors who make a gift to your campaign will receive automatic email confirmation and then an official tax acknowledgement letter will be mailed to them within 2-3 business days of processing their donation. We also encourage you to personally thank your donors and let them know what it meant to you to have their support. In addition to contacting them directly you can publicly thank them on your fundraising page in the donation feed.
