Mark O’Donnell,
Chief Operating Officer

Mark O’Donnell is PCI’s Chief Operating Officer. He oversees program operations in sixteen countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, and leads the organization’s strategic leadership team. Prior to serving as the organization’s COO, Mr. O’Donnell led PCI’s development and fundraising, marketing, and public relations efforts.

Mr. O’Donnell got his start in non-profit and international development work while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras. Following his Peace Corps service, Mr. O’Donnell was selected as a Fellow at Peace Corps headquarters in Washington D.C. He was then appointed as Assistant Peace Corps Director in Honduras, where he oversaw the Water and Sanitation program for three years.  His final Peace Corps assignment was as Deputy Director in the Dominican Republic.

Mr. O’Donnell holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from San Diego State University. Since returning to San Diego in 1995, Mr. O’Donnell has been active in different community boards and committees.
