Help ensure the health of moms & their babies around the world.

PCI's programs empower families to give their children the best chance at a happy, healthy life.

Around the world, poverty and lack of access to medical care are some of the biggest health threats to moms and babies, leading to illness, malnutrition and, in some cases, even death.

PCI works hard to help mothers and their babies survive and thrive, no matter their age, background or demographics.

Our programs support moms throughout their pregnancy and once they give birth, we focus on teaching families how to give their new baby the best start possible through nutrition education and breastfeeding support.

We make sure moms stay healthy before, during and after pregnancies so that they can provide nurturing, responsive care for their children.

Meet Stephanie, a mom from PCI's Healthy Start program.

We are counting on supporters like you to join us in the fight to improve the health and protection of moms and babies everywhere.

This Mother’s Day, give a gift that will changes lives.

PCI’s JEEViKA program has resulted in the formation of more than 19,000 Self-Help Groups made up of women from some of India’s most vulnerable communities. During their regular group meetings, pregnant women and young mothers receive important information about newborn care so their babies can thrive into childhood.

Over the past 5 years, PCI has focused on improving care of early and small babies through our Every Preemie – SCALE project. In Malawi, we partnered with local agencies to implement the Family-Led Care model and build a wider network of support for these vulnerable newborns. One important element of this model is Kangaroo Mother Care, which involves placing a preterm baby on a mother or other caregiver’s chest — skin-to-skin — for as long as possible each day.

Casa Materna has been providing lifesaving
women’s health services for some of the most vulnerable mothers in Guatemala. In Spanish, Casa Materna means “maternal house” and for expectant mothers experiencing high-risk pregnancies, it’s been a refuge of hope, learning and healing. PCI
established the facility nearly two decades ago to provide reproductive, maternal and child health services for Mayan families with little or no access to health care.
