Honoring Ed Mercaldo

Honoring Ed Mercaldo 2017-01-08T14:08:22+00:00

We ask all of you to join us in celebrating the life of Ed Mercaldo.  Ed was a dear friend of PCI’s, and his passion for our work and his strong commitment to the people we serve was unparalleled.   During his career as an international banker, and with his wife Karen at the Gem Foundation, Ed invested his time and resources to improve the lives of others.  He traveled around the world with us, was serious about learning firsthand the challenges of extreme poverty and poor health and how he could make a difference.  Ed’s relationship with PCI, which began more than a decade ago, has been a powerful partnership of shared values and collaboration.  We worked together to help make a healthier and brighter future, one filled with real hope, for families living in desperate poverty through programs that have changed lives and will continue to have an impact for years to come.   We’ve been blessed to share in Ed’s vision and in his love of humanity.  Ed passed away on November 29th, but we know his spirit carries on with his family, his friends and with everyone at PCI.
